When Cardone wanted to work for his uncle’s company, he didn’t take no for an answer. He went back and asked again, this time armed with information about the company that he learned from his research.

He took the job and worked there for six years before starting his own business in the mail order industry. Cardone has been a top performer in the industry for over 30 years.

Cardone’s advice to young people is, to be honest, and hardworking. “People are drawn to honesty,” he said.

And hard work, Cardone said, pays off. “If you put in your time, your good name will follow you.”

“I can’t stand for being bullied,” Cardone said. “I’ve always been an advocate of standing up for myself.”
